Please join us at the Hollywood Senior Center on Tuesday, July 12, from 10 to 11am for a workshop to promote healthy sexual behavior, decrease the incidence of sexually transmitted diseases, increase the likelihood of seniors seeking medical service and de-stigmatizing discussion of sex and emphasizing sexual health as one’s overall health and quality of life.

The Hollywood Farmers Market and Hollywood Senior Center are partnering to bring the community a fun and informative Senior Day at the Market on Saturday, July 9, from 8am to 1pm. (The Hollywood Farmers Market is located between NE 44th and 45th Avenues on NE Hancock Street.) Activities will include a special tour at noon; cooking demos for using seasonal ingredients in simple, small meals; tips for shopping at the market on a budget; personal shoppers for seniors; special vendor discounts; live music; and an opportunity to win a basket of market goodies!
There is a special promotion for seniors 65-plus: a set of coupons good for 20 percent off on $25 of produce. The Hollywood Farmers Market accepts Senior FDNP checks. And, there is a new Matching Program for Oregon Trail (SNAP/EBT Cards) as well, called Double Up Food Bucks.
