The Beaumont Middle School Jazz Ambassadors play a variety of swing-band music, including favorites like “St. Louis Blues,” “Katie” by Sammy Nestico, “American Patrol,” “Big Noise from the North Pole,” “Little Brown Jug,” and more. Cynthia Plank, Portland public School band teacher, leads this group of talented middle school students.
Turkey dinner with all the fixings (including vegetarian and vegan options) along with fellowship. Bring a dish to share or make a donation of grocery gift cards. When reserving, please let us know about any food allergies or sensitivities. **Regular Thursday Activities resume December 4th.
On the last Tuesday of each month, we honor all those seniors who celebrate their birthday that month. If your birthday falls during this month you get a chance to win a homemade birthday cake. Plus, you’ll receive free pizza . All seniors are welcome!

Join music historian Gordon Neal Herman for parts two and three of this three-part series (Oct. 16, Nov. 20, & Dec. 18), which traces how the combining of marching bands and ragtime gave rise to Dixieland jazz, and how the big bands grew out of the dance band movement’s discovery of jazz. In this unique behind-the-scenes factory tour at local Creo Chocolate, participants creatively design their own personalized chocolate bar to take home. Tour lasts one hour, and includes a multimedia presentation of the story behind Creo Factory is wheelchair accessible.
