We have begun a support group at our North Portland facility, Charles Jordan Community Center, 9000 N. Foss Avenue. The group is designed to support grandparents and other older adults raising and parenting children. Most likely we were not expecting to be raising a child at this point in our lives. However, situations change. Please join us every Monday, 10 a.m. – 11 a.m., beginning April 4 to share with and learn from others in a similar situation.

April 21, 2015 at the Hollywood Senior Center. He is performing as part of the MusicianFest series, in partnership with the National Council on Aging’s National Institute of Senior Centers, the Music Performance trust fund and the Musicians Union local 99.
Jean-Pierre Garau will play piano and sing in a concert April 28.
Both performances are free and are from noon to 1:00 p.m.

Please join us for a Meals on Wheels lunch at the Hollywood Senior Center Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 11:30 a.m. Lunch features a daily entree, salad and dessert. Meals are available to anyone age 60 or older.
We suggest a donation of $3.00 per meal for those 60 and older and $6.00 for those younger. We often have guest entertainment during lunch.
We’ll be celebrating March birthdays at the Center March 31, at noon. If your birthday is in March, you can get a free lunch and be entered into a drawing for a free birthday cake to take home. Cake for everyone will follow lunch.
Children from Wee Works Daycare will provide entertainment.
Suggested donation is $3.00 for those older than 60, and $6.80 for those younger.
