On Tuesday, June 18, meet the RideWise ride ambassador at 10:30am in the Hollywood Senior Center lobby and then head to the Oregon Historical Society (OHS) to see the FREE “The Beatles” exhibit. The ride ambassador will hand out FREE transportation passes and guide you on your journey to OHS. Meet new friends and learn about how one of the world’s top bands “invaded” the U.S. and made such an impact on music and culture.

This supportive 12-week program lets you use creative arts and writing to capture your unique life experiences. By creating an illustrated bound book containing an individual’s story, participants will reflect, engage and learn with other seniors, professional writer and artists. From the moment the lovable Fred Bear cuts the ribbon to kick off the Fred Meyer Junior Parade, fun reigns. Children come from all parts of the city to join in: dressing in costume, transforming wagons into floats, decorating their bikes with colorful flowers, or just parading with pets ( and parents!) Elementary and Middle School marching bands fill the Hollywood District with song, and dance teams add swirls of color to the celebration.
